Cross Stitch Valley is a small, free tool, born in a family that has always stitched.
In my family, there has always been a needle and thread close at hand. My sister and my mother love embroidery, and I'm a developer, so I got my keyboard out to give them a hand 😊
The converter matches each stitch to one of the 483 plain-cotton DMC shades, judged the way an eye judges colour rather than the way a computer adds numbers. What you download names real references, with the number of stitches of each, so you can walk into a shop with the list.
No account to convert, no watermark, nothing to buy. Signing in exists so you can put a finished piece in the gallery, and that is all it is for.
Signed in, your last ten charts wait for you in your account. Your photograph is never uploaded to make a chart: the whole conversion happens on your own machine. Sharing a finished piece sends the grid, which is a few kilobytes, and the photograph only if you choose to add one.
